Adults and Children over 12yrs: Odema: 100-200mg daily in single or divided doses to a maximum of 400mg daily. Moderate to severe heart failure (Adjunct): initially 25mg increased to a maximum of

Safe use of spironolactone during pregnancy has not been established. The drug should be used during pregnancy only when the potential benefits outweigh the possible risks to the fetus.

Spironolactone enters breastmilk and is not recommended in lactating women.
