Rheumatoid arthritis, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Stomatitis, diarrhoea, hepatic dysfunction, thrombocy top enia, bone marrow suppression. Pulmonary toxicity in rheumatoid arthritis (patient to contact doctor immediately if dyspnoea or cough occurs). C.f. prescribing in liver and renal disease p. 15; 32.

Rheumatoid Arthritis: 7.5mg once weekly or 2.5mg every 12 hours for 3 doses. Max. total weekly dose 20mg. Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia: Low-dose: individual doses under 100 mg/m2; moderate- dose: individual doses between 100 mg/m2 and 1g/M 2;

Methotrexate may cause fetal death and/or congenital abnormalities.
|
|
|
Methotrexate is distributed in breastmilk. Breastfeeding is not recommended during therapy.
