ANTICONVULSANTS MISCELLANEOUS
Monotherapy or adjunctive treatment of partial seizures; primary
and secondary generalised tonic-clonic seizures and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. To be used in women of child-bearing age, especially those in the disabled community.
Blurred vision; aggression; agitation; arthralgia; ataxia; back pain; diarrhoea; diplopia; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; headache; insomnia; nausea; nystagmus; rash; tremor; vomiting.
Adult and children 12 years and older: monotherapy: 25 mg
once daily for 2 weeks followed by 50 mg once daily for 2 weeks; increased by a maximum of 50 to 100 mg every 1 to 2 weeks to usual maintenance doses of 100 to 200 mg daily, given as a sin
