Therapeutic Class SELECTIVE BETA2 ADRENERGIC AGONIST (RESPIRATORY)
Indications For the symptomatic relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma and
bronchitis.
Caution Because of longer duration of action when compared to other beta 2 agonists, dosage should be carefully monitored. Tachycardia, palpitations, tremor, nervousness.
Dose Range Adult: 200-400 micrograms (1-2 p uffs) 3 times daily . See BDS

Indications Bronchospasm.
Caution Tachycardia, palpitations, tremor, nervousness, headache, insomnia,nausea.
Dose Range Aerosol: 1-3 puffs, 3-4 times daily. Syrup: 1 month- 2 yrs:
100 mcg/kg (max.2 mg) 3-4 times daily ; 2- 6 yrs: 1- 2 mg 3-4 times daily. s.c or i.m inj: 0.5mg repeated every 4 hours if necessary. See BDS supply protocols pg. 10
