|
Angina pectoris when a vasospastic element is present, hypertension. Raynaud's disease.
|
|
|
Avoid the use of diuretics. Headache, flushing, dizziness. Avoid grapefruit juice. Concurrent use may cause severe muscle tenderness and pain..c.f. prescribing in liver and renal p. 15; 33.
|
|
|
20mg twice daily increased if necessary to 40mg twice daily .
|
|
|
|
|
|
Nifedipine may inhibit labour. Use during pregnancy only when the potential benefits justify the possible risks to the fetus. (If nifedipine is used during pregnancy, manufacturer advises to avoid use before week 20).
|
|
|
Nifedipine is distributed in breastmilk. Use with caution in lactating.
