Arteriosclerotic vascular disease, cerebrovascular accident, yocardial infarction, peripheral arterial occlusive disease.
The combination of aspirin and clopidogrel in patients with recent stroke who are at risk for recurrent ischemic events has not been shown to be more effective than clopidogrel alone; the combination has been shown to increase major bleeding. Clopidogrel should be discontinued 5 days prior to elective surgery if antiplatelet effect is not desired. Chest pain, hypertension, purpuric disorder, rash, hypercholesterolemia, abdominal pain, constip ation, diarrhea, gastritis, indigestion, epistaxis, purpura, arthralgia, backache, headache, acute myocardial infarction, rebound effect, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, erythema multiforme, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, gastrointestinal ulcer, agranulocytosis, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, hepatitis, abnormal liver function tests, anaphylaxis, epidural hematoma, intracranial hemorrhage, intraocular hemorrhage, abnormal renal function, acute renal failure, non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
75mg once daily. Dosage adjustment is not necessary in moderate renal disease, liver disease or in geriatric patients. Use with caution in severe hepatic or renal impairment.
