Hypertension, left ventricular dysfunction after my ocardial infarction,
heart failure when ACE inhibitors are not tolerated. |

Headache, dizziness, viral infection, upper respiratory tract infection, cough, diarrhea, drowsiness, rhinitis, sinusitis, backache, stomach ache, nausea, pharyngitis and joint pain. The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy .

|
Hypertension: Initial dose 80mg once daily, with or without food. The dose may be increased to 160mg daily if initial response is insufficient. Maximum dose 320mg once daily. CHF: Initially 40mg twice daily increased as tolerated to 160mg twice. M

|
Drugs that act on the angiotensin system can cause injury and death to the developing fetus when used in the second and third trimesters. Angiotensin receptor blockers should be discontinued as soon as possible once pregnancy is detected.
|
|
|
Avoid breastfeeding while using losartan.
|
