MYCOPHENOLATE
IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVE AGENTS
Prophylaxis of acute renal, cardiac, or hepatic transplant rejection.
Taste disturbance, gingival hyperplasia anorexia, weight loss, vomiting, abdominal pain, gastro-intestinal inflammation, ulceration, and bleeding. Patients should undergo regular blood counts; if neutropenia develops consideration should be given to interrupting mycophenolate treatment, reducing the dose, or stopping therap y .
Adult: Cardiac transp lantation: 1.5 g twice daily starting within 5
day s of tansp lantation. Renal: 1 g twice daily , to be started within 72 hours of transp lantation.
