Adjunct to general anaesthetics, anaesthetic for induction and

Respiratory depression and apnea. Transient hypotension may follow intravenous dosage. An opiate antagonist and facilities for administration of oxygen and controlled respiration should be available during and immediately following IV administration of fentany l citrate.
