FOURTH GEN CEPHALOSPORINS
|
|
|
Infections due to susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including those of the abdomen, urinary tract, respiratory tract, and skin and skin structures. Effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

|
Hypersensitivity reactions.
|
|
|
Adult: 1 to 2g daily in 2 divided doses for mild to moderate infections, increased to 4g daily in 2 divided doses in severe infections. Maximum 6g daily.
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Cefepime is distributed into milk in low concentrations following parenteral administration, and the drug should be used with caution in nursing women.
