Mild cardiac failure and fluid retention, mild hypotensive and to
potentiate other drugs in severe hypertension. For use only in patients who are hypocalcemic. |

Fluid and electrolyte disturbances. [Hypokalemia, hyperuricaemia, hy p ergly caemia]. Diuretic-induced hypokalaemia may enhance the toxicity of digoxin unless adequate potassium supplementation is given. Occasionally rash (may be photosensitive). Adult: Hypertension: 2.5mg daily . Paediatric: 50-100mcg/kg per
