Therapeutic Class ANTICHOLINERGIC AGENTS (PARKINSONS)
Indications Parkinsonism, especially when tremor and salivation are marked. Drug induced parkinsonism but not tardive dyskinesia.
Caution Avoid if there is risk of urinary retention. Often abused by chronic
psychotics. Dry mouth, G.I. up set, blurred vision, nervousness and confusion.
Dose Range Adult: 1mg increased to 6-10mg daily in 3-4 divided doses (max.
20mg).

Indications Symptomatic treatment of parkinsonism. Alleviation of drug induced extrapy ramidal disorders, but is of no value against tardive dyskinesias.
Caution Urinary retention, blurred vision, nervousness, confusion, drowsiness.
Dose Range Adult and Children over 12 years: 0.5-1mg daily at bedtime
gradually increased to a maximum of 6mg daily . Maintenance dose of 1-4mg daily as a single dose or in divided doses. i.v. or i.m: 1-2mg, repeated until symptoms disappear. Pediatri

Caution Blurred vision, mydriasis, disorientation, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, xerostomia. Safety and effective not established for Pediatric patients.
Dose Range Adult: 2.5mg 3 times a day . M aintenance dose 10-30mg 3-4 times daily .
