| Caution | Dizziness, drowsiness, ataxia and slurred speech. Short term usage recommended because they are habit forming. Not recommended in children. C.f. prescribing in liver and renal disease p. 12; 25. |
| Dose Range | Anxiety: 10mg 3 times daily increased if necessary to 60-100mg daily in divided doses. Alcohol withdrawal Syndrome: 25-100 mg repeated as needed after 2 to 4 hours, up to a maximum of 300 mg daily . Elderly: half adult dose. |
