|
Reserve for life threatening systemic fungal infections.
|
|
|
Anemia, thrombocytopenia, CHF, anaphylaxis, fever, gastro-intestinal upset, nephrotoxicity (reduce with i.v. infusion of mannitol), tinnitus. Monitor Kidney Function. C.f. prescribing in renal disease pg. 22.

Adult and Children: i.v. 0.25mg/kg/day as a single dose, with
increments every other day to a maximum of 1.5 mg/kg/day . |

Not known to be harmful but manufacturers advise avoid unless potential benefit outweighs risk.
